Mishkat wins Emirates Energy Award in Education and Capacity Building Category
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Mishkat Interactive Center (an initiative of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy(, was honored with the Emirates Energy Award for ” Education & Capacity Building ” category. The awards run in its third round of 2017, organized under the title “Innovative solutions for clean energy”.
The award was received by Mishkat Executive Director, Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Hujailan, from the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Energy in Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
Eng. Al-Hujailan noted that the success of Mishkat and the winning Saudi authorities was the culmination of the Kingdom’s efforts in sustainable energy development. He said: “We are delighted that Mishkat Interactive Center has won the Bronze Award under the category of” Education & Capacity Building”, this win is an extension of the many achievements accomplished by Mishkat since its start in 2011 in the fields of energy and education. ”
He continues: “We have gained the confidence of the Kingdom’s young people by introducing them to the sustainable energy sector and inspiring them to participate in its construction, operation and development, and thus support the Kingdom’s drive to raise local content in this sector to achieve the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030.
