Mishkat Interactive Center Launches “Mawhiba” Summer Program for the Eighth Consecutive Time

Mishkat Interactive Center, an initiative of King Abdullah City for atomic and renewable energy, has launched today “Mawhiba” summer program with the participation of 60 middle school female students for the eighth consecutive year. This program is part of the summer programs administered by King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in cooperation with several governmental and private authorities, which aims to establish the appropriate environment for talented students and increase their skills and training in vital fields that will play a role in preparing them for the future.

Mishkat emphasized on the partnership with (Mawhiba) by offering an integrated and specialized scientific program in the field of sustainable energy. This program is presented in the forms of lectures, workshops, practical applications, and scientific visits. The first day of the program was dedicated to host the candidates and their parents to familiarize them with the staff, program activities and the Center’s facilities, along with specialized activities to break the ice which allowed the staff to present themselves properly and to interact with the students through the enriching and entertaining programs that have been scheduled within the activities.

The program lasts for three weeks on a daily basis starting from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. And the activities are divided into three main tracks (Energy Discovery track, Energy Programs track, and the scientific research track), as well as the accompanying programs that includes scientific trips outside Mishkat, which are coordinated according to the program plan.
